Thoughts on Judo: “It’s the steady rain that soaks.”
Favourite Quote: Simply because you can breathe, doesn’t mean you’re alive. We’ve all been sorry, we’ve all been hurt, but how we survive makes us who we are.
Judo Experience: Started Judo in 1990 in Cambodia with Japanese Sensei Takashi
Represented Cambodia at the successive Asian Games in Singapore, Vietnam (where he qualified for the Olympic Games), Thailand, Malaysia.
In 2001 competed at the Francophone Games in Gatineau, Quebec
Favourite Technique: Uchi Mata
Thoughts on Judo: Judo is my passion. When I was a kid, coming home after training at the dojo, I would still train against a wall in the neighbourhood. Eventually, Judo gave me many opportunities to travel and eventually start a new life in Canada.
Favourite Quote: “You’re never a looser until you quit trying.” –Wayne Gretzky
