The adult Judo program has been developed for adults aged 16 years and older. Students can participate three to four times a week
with instructors who offer a combined 100 years of teaching experience. Our instructors bring to the club a wide variation of Judo
styles from around the globe. There is a recreational and competitive component to our adult program that provides both a challenging
and fun learning environment. Judo will not only help you get and stay fit, but is a great form of self-defence. Our programming covers
the following categories in the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model:
- Training to Compete (U17, U20) - Emphasis sport-specific technical, tactical and fitness preparation
- Training to Win (18+) - Maximizes all physical, mental, emotional, and ancillary capabilities with a
view to succeed competitively on a provincial to national stage.
- Active for Life (Any age) - Provides an opportunity to maintain or move into an active, recreational
or age group competitive lifestyle with increased participation in other facets of the sporting experience
(refereeing, coaching, instructing, administration).
